Types of Tea
Brewing the Perfect Cup: (We include brewing
instructions with every tea you order)
Start with good-tasting water. Do NOT use boiling
water when brewing a White, Yellow, Green or Oolong
tea. Boiling water "cooks" the leaves of these teas,
destroying their flavor. Perpare our blooming teas within the guidelines for green tea or white tea respectively.
Here are some suggested water temperatures and
steeping times:

| Artisan | Very Hot | 180° - 195°F | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Oolong | Very Hot | 180° - 195°F | 5 to 7 minutes |
| "Red" Teas & Chai | Near Boiling to Boiling | 200° - 212°F | 5 to 7 minutes |
| Flavored Black | Full, Rolling Boil | 212°F | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Herbal | Very Hot to Boiling | 195° - 212°F | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Black & Pu-Erh | Full, Rolling Boil | 212°F | 5 to 10 minutes |
